Accessibility Statement

Effective May 1, 2026

Bluebird Sport & Spine is committed to making our website and clinic usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time project.

Our commitment

We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where feasible. We design and build with accessibility in mind, and we test changes against common assistive technologies.

Website features

  • Semantic HTML structure with proper headings, landmarks, and lists.
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
  • Keyboard navigation across the site, with visible focus styles.
  • Sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
  • Responsive layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, and desktops.
  • Form fields with clear labels and error messages.

Known limitations

Some parts of the experience are provided by third parties — most notably our online booking system. We choose vendors who take accessibility seriously, but their interfaces are outside our direct control. If you run into a barrier when trying to book online, call us at (250) 545-7545 and we'll book the appointment with you over the phone.

Older PDFs, scanned documents, or embedded third-party media may not be fully accessible. We're working through these and will provide accessible alternatives on request.

Visiting the clinic

If you have specific accessibility needs for your visit — mobility, sensory, communication, scent sensitivity, or anything else — please let us know in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate. The more notice you can give us, the more we can prepare.

Reporting an issue

If you encounter a barrier on this website or at the clinic, we want to hear about it. Contact us by:

Tell us what page or service you were trying to use, what went wrong, and the device, browser, or assistive technology you were using. We'll acknowledge your message promptly and follow up with a fix or workaround.

Continuous improvement

Accessibility standards and our own implementation both evolve. We review this statement and the underlying site periodically and update both as we make changes.
