What we do

Our services

Personalized care plans built on a thorough assessment, evidence-based technique, and the tools that make a difference for your specific case.

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is a hands-on, non-invasive approach to diagnosing and treating problems of the spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system — used most often for back pain, neck pain, and headaches.

Registered Massage Therapy

Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) is regulated, hands-on therapy for soft-tissue pain and dysfunction. Julie Mohy provides RMT at Bluebird and offers direct billing to most major extended health insurers.

Active Release Technique®

Active Release Technique® is a hands-on soft-tissue method that combines targeted manual pressure with specific patient movement to free up restrictions in muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves.

Learn more
Graston Technique®

Graston Technique® is an instrument-assisted soft-tissue therapy that uses specially designed stainless-steel tools to detect and treat areas of fascial restriction, scar tissue, and chronic soft-tissue dysfunction.

Exercise Rehabilitation

Exercise rehabilitation is a structured, progressive movement program designed around your specific injury or capacity gap — building you back to full activity and reducing the chance of the problem coming back.

Concussion Care

Bluebird is a primary diagnosis-and-management service for concussion. We work across the full clinical span — acute assessment, cervical and vestibular contributors, rehabilitative exercise, and a structured return-to-sport / return-to-life plan.

Pregnancy & Postpartum Care

Pregnancy chiropractic care helps with low-back, pelvic, and SI joint pain through every trimester, using positions and techniques specifically adapted for a changing body. Postpartum care supports the return to activity and addresses the new physical demands of caring for a baby.

Pediatric Chiropractic

Pediatric chiropractic uses gentle, age-appropriate techniques to support infants and children with musculoskeletal concerns such as torticollis, movement asymmetries, postural strain, and sport-related injuries.

What people say

A rotating selection from our verified Google reviews. See every review — with names — on Google .

I have had great experiences with both Dr. Steve and Dr. Laura. They are knowledgeable and take their time with my treatment including adjustments, soft tissue work and rehab.

Dr. Steve is my golf swing’s best friend. Couldn’t play/practice as much as I do without the adjustments and the knowledge he provides.

Dr. Laura helped my baby in so many ways. She was holding her head to one side, was very fussy and had irregular bowel movements. I can now say I have a different baby.

Common questions

Quick answers

What new patients ask most often.

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor in BC?
No. In British Columbia you do not need a doctor's referral to see a chiropractor or registered massage therapist. You can book directly. Some extended health insurance plans, however, may require a referral for reimbursement — check your plan.
Do you direct-bill extended health insurance?
For chiropractic visits with Dr. Steve or Dr. Laura, we do not direct-bill — you pay at the visit and submit your receipt to your insurer for reimbursement. For RMT visits with Julie, direct billing to most major extended health insurers is available. We do not direct-bill ICBC and we do not accept WorkSafe BC claims.
How long is a typical first appointment?
A new-patient chiropractic appointment is typically 45–60 minutes — including a thorough history, physical exam, and an initial treatment when appropriate. Subsequent visits are usually 15–30 minutes.
